    Burley's book of commentaries on the eighth book of physics by Aristotle (384-322 B.C.) The volume is noteworthy for being written on paper rather than vellum, and features a classic Latin hand with seven major initials in gold and colors, and later comments in the borders. Numbered in modern hand in pencil on pages 36, 60, 95, 173, 197, 226. Renumbered in pencil on bottom page, outer corner prior to rebinding in 2022.

The text here is complete: the scribe erroneously repeated the rubric of Book VII on f. 26, thus his calculations at the end of the manuscript were off by one. Marginalia and nota marks by various readers of the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries.

    This handwritten manuscript seems to be a fair copy of a complete course of lectures on algebra, and other scientific topics such as physics and astronomy, given by Guido Grandi in 1705. It contains several hand-drawn illustrations.
