Arranged chronologically according the Otis' life (for example, the folder about the residence in Santa Barbara comes before the folder about The Bivuoac). Subjects include biographical sketches and notes; early publishing positions; the attack on Otis by Herald publisher Walter Harbison; the Katherine Tingley libel trial; and others. Dates refer to the original print date of the news clipping or the facsimile. Includes news clippings, correspondence, and facsimiles of news clippings. Facsimiles may not be copied or published. Date range is 1865-1979.

    Jewish Federation Council Annual Meeting

    Four copies of a speech given by Otis Chandler at the Jewish Federation Council on Sunday, January 23, 1966. Two of the copies are drafts. Attached to the draft is a memo from Freddie Miller informing Otis Chandler on pertinent facts about the luncheon. Other items in this folder include are a copy of the Heritage Southwest Jewish Press and a newspaper clipping that refer to the award presented to Otis Chandler by the Jewish Federation Council.
