American Legion picnic, Avalon, Santa Catalina Island. June 12, 1932

A panoramic view of celebrations for the American Legion picnic in Avalon, on Santa Catalina Island. A crowd of a couple hundred people are gathered around an open area in the street. A baseball team and a band are sitting in the middle, directly in front of the crowd, and many of the older men and women are wearing American Legion hats. Most of the shops and stores behind the crowds are decorated with American flags.
