- Note: "In 1813 when visited by H.M.S. Racoon the banks had considerably changed and extent since since 1792 when the river was partially explored by Lieutenant Broughton in H.M.S. Chatham; and Captn Belcher found them again greatly altered in 1839. Deer, Geese and Salmon are easily procured; Water may be filled in Baker Bay; and timber may be cut every where."
