    Administrative Series contains records relating to various facilitative operations within the Alamitos Land Company, including, but not limit to, account books, annual reports, appraisals, articles of incorporation, audits, balance sheets, bylaws, correspondence, financial records, financial statements, inventories, ledgers, legal documents, minutes, stock certificates, and titles (property rights). This series is organized alphabetically. A small number of oversize administrative records are stored under the Oversize Series. Commercial Properties Series include a wide-ranging type of records relating to the company's commercial and industrial portfolio. As per the original order, records are grouped under the headings of their respective commercial properties or projects, which include, but not limit to, Alamitos Beach Townsites, Alamitos Tract, Bixby Center, Bixby Ridge, Brawley Beef Packing Plant, Brawley Steam Wells, Firebaugh, Geothermal, Hathaway Apartments, Hathaway Business Park, The Knolls, Long Beach Tidelands, Luckey Ranch, Palo Verde and Spring Retail, Paramount Business Park, Recreation Park, Reservoir Hill, Rosemead Flair Business Park, Signal Hill East Unit, Tract 10548, U.S. Navy Depot, and the Willows Office Building. All commercial properties and projects were located within the State of California. This series is organized alphabetically.

    Pacific Electric Railway Lines Photographs, (bulk 1938-1950)

    The collection contains a manuscript mock-up and photographs for a special supplement to Interurban Electric Railway Publications, "The Pacific Electric Southern District - Supplement 6 to Special 16." The photographs include images along the Balboa Line, Newport Line, La Bolsa Line, Bellflower Line, Whittier-Yorba Linda Line, and the Santa Ana-Orange Line. Aside from many views of Pacific Electric cars, tracks, and stations, scenes along the lines include Bolsa Chica, Balboa, Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Santa Ana, downtown Los Angeles, Long Beach, Socorro, Fullerton, and Yorba Linda. Photographs also depict the final day of passenger service on the Whittier-Yorba Linda line, January 22, 1938. The collection also includes xerox copies of the following: a publication called "The Life and Times of the Pacific Electric, The World's Greatest Interurban (Orange Empire Railway Museum, 1983); an article by Jane Wilson entitled "Who Killed Mr. Red Car?" (Buzz Magazine, 1994)

Two backed with paper, one showing an MS map on the verso. Interesting quote: "Magnolia Avenue Running through the center of this tract is 10 miles long and 132 feet wide, with sidewalks 20 feet in width; in its center it is shaded its entire length by a magnificent growth of pepper, the most beautiful ornamental tree known to landscape gardeners, making a double driveway, and upon the sides by a splendid growth of Palm, Gravilia and Eucalyptus, with magnolias as each crossing, making it the grandest avenue and most beautiful drive in California or in the world."
