Image is of a multitude of men crowding the wharf and clambering over the rigging and deck of the Byron to see Stuart hanged from an improvised gibbet near the end of the wharf. There are a few spectators in small boats and some on the buildings in the background. The text below the image describes the events of July 11th, 1851. "Publ. & Lith. by Justh Quirot & Co. Calif. Corn. Montg. Sts. S.F."--text, below image. Paper color: gray.

A black-and-white view print lithographed by Ferdinand Mayer advertising John Newman & Co.'s wheelbarrow factory at Milton in Ulster County, New York. View features an image of a wheelbarrow factory surrounded by an industrial waterfront with horse-drawn wagons, small buildings, and men manufacturing materials. The factory is in the center of the Hudson Bay surrounded by a cargo boat and paddle steamer in front, with hilly landscape and trees in the background. Upper left of the image includes text that reads, "United States wheel barrow factory. John Newman & Co. Manufacturers of wheelbarrows of every description. Situated on the Hudson, 70 miles from New York. Milton, Ulster Co. N.Y. John Newman, John H. Newman, S.O.F. Colman." Lower right of image is signed by the printer, "Ferd. Mayer. Gnl Lith. 96 & 98 Fulton St. N.Y." The view was removed from Frederick W. Beers's County Atlas of Ulster, New York, printed in 1875.
