Paper Weaving for Little Folks

One boxed paper weaving set entitled Paper Weaving for Little Folks, manufactured by the Sam'l Gabriel Sons & Company, New York, ca. 1920. The subtitle reads: "Simple, Instructive, Amusing: To Keep Busy The Little Hands and Little Head." The set includes 24 sheets of colored, prepared paper, one printed sheet showing sample weaving designs, and a metal weaving tool. The weaving paper is in two sets; one set contains widely-spaced (1/2 inch) cuts, and the other set contains more closely-set (1/4 inch) cuts. In some of the sheets the cuts are horizontal, and others, the cuts are vertical. The set is housed in a paperboard box with a color image on the top lid; the illustration is the same as the sample sheet inside the box. The two sets of paper are on either side of a narrow divider box which holds the metal weaving tool. "No. T 227" and "Printed in Germany" are printed in the lower right-hand corner of the box lid. This weaving set has not been used.

Dixon’s Eldorado: 'the master drawing pencil'

One boxed set of lead pencils entitled Dixon's Eldorado: 'the master drawing pencil,' manufactured by the Joseph Dixon Crucible Company, Jersey City, New Jersey, ca. 1940. The set was issued with one dozen pencils; one is missing from this set. The pencils are varying degrees of hardness. The box is blue with gold lettering; the outer box serves as a slipcase for the inner box.

Two sets of colored pencils manufactured Koh-I-Noor Pencil Company

Two sets of colored pencils and one Universal Holder No. 48, manufactured by Koh-I-Noor Pencil Co. and L. & C. Hardtmuth, Inc., Czechoslovakia and Bloomsbury, New Jersey, respectively, ca. 1930. The larger of the two pencil sets contains 11 colored pencils and a "lengthener" within a paperboard box and slipcase. The second set is comprised of 4 unused colored pencils within a paperboard box and slipcase. The Universal Holder is a metal pencil-like holder "for Graphite leads No. 2018 - Negro leads No. 2610 [and] Sanguine Leads No. 2620." Title supplied by cataloger.
